Reggie is a young boy trying to make sense of the genius he possesses while navigating the ups and downs of adolescence.

Fearful, anxious, imaginative, but above all … brilliant! These are all adjectives that describe Reggie, a young, prepubescent, suburbanized cartoon version of Pharrell Williams … in other words, a musical prodigy. Unfortunately, at times, Reggie has a hard time seeing just how special he really is. He’s a socially awkward kid who is trying to get along with his new friends, fit in at school, and come to grips with his growing interest in girls.

Reggie is the quintessential re-imagining of Nickelodeon’s Doug Funnie for millennials. Reggie’s imagination is often the driving force behind his greatest successes and greatest failures. Where Doug is neither exceptional nor particularly a loser, Reggie is the embodiment of the former but often has the self-esteem of the latter.

Reggie lives in Peachtree City, GA, a suburb of Atlanta. It’s a sleepy town known for its massive subdivisions lined with middle- to upper-middle-class homes. Reggie’s neighborhood, or “suburban jungle,” is one of four “worlds” most of the kids spend all of their time. The other three are home, the Internet, and the absolute pressure cooker – school! Reggie escapes the stresses of all four through his music. When Reggie is jamming, he transforms just like Bruce Wayne putting on his mask and cape.

In fact, he even has an alter ego – RG Keys! Reggie gives our young audience a glimpse into the stars he and they were born to be and will eventually become in whatever area their passions are. Kids watching will learn that being themselves and following their own path will lead to success more times than not.
